Established in 1972, the Woodland Trust is the UK’s leading woodland conservation charity.  Over the the last 30 years they have aquired more than 1000 woodland sites covering over 50,000 acres.

Their vision is to see a country rich in native woods and trees enjoyed and valued by everyone.

Here, in Eight Ash Green we are within two miles of three such sites.

Hillhouse Wood has the most stunning display of bluebells in the Spring and Fordham Hall Estate has over 20km of tracks and paths to explore on foot, by bike or on horseback.

Keep an eye out for some Barn Owls as we have put up some Owl Boxes on the Heath.

Further information about these sites, and others in the area, is available from www.visitwoods.org.uk
