The City Council is carrying out consultation on its Local Plan for the period to 2041.
Eight Ash Green Parish Council has objected to both applications and allocations in the Local Plan for further housing within the parish. The Council is working closely also with Aldham Parish Council on this issue. EAGPC believes that if there has to be development at this scale there are sites along the south side of Halstead Road that are better related to the village and its facilities. The Parish Council are holding an exhibition / consultation at the Cricketers Pub over the weekend of 10th and 11th January and invite all residents to attend and make their views known. The Parish Council is working to ask Colchester City Council to look at alternative sites. Residents are encouraged to attend and to make their own comments to the City Council by the deadline of Thursday 14th January.
