Parish Councillor Keith Winterbourne explains the Parish Paths Partnership (P3)
In order to maintain the quality, safety and accessibility of our village footpaths, the Parish Council has joined the Parish Paths Partnership run by Essex County Council. P3’s Objectives are:

  1. To encourage villagers to protect their local Rights of Way
  2. To promote community involvement
  3. To promote awareness of our public Rights of Way and the surrounding environment

To begin with this would be a very informal grouping of volunteers who would be given Public Rights of Way survey forms. On completion these simple tick box forms would provide an overview of the condition of the footpaths in and around the village. P3 would then be made aware of the necessary action to be taken should any areas need attention, replacement or repair.

If you would like to be involved [as much or as little as you like] please contact the Parish Clerk on parish.clerk@eightashgreen.com or any member of the Parish Council, whose details are listed on the Council Page.
