Annual Summer Village Festival

2015 was another great success for the village festival and the day was enjoyed by all. Planning and preparation for the 2016 is underway, and looks to be yet another fantastic event.

15-16 July 2016, Fordham Heath, Spring Lane, Eight Ash Green.

Each year many volunteers organise the annual Eight Ash Green Music Festival and Fun Day on our Fordham Heath. Each year it gets bigger and better.

Once again I have the privilege of inviting you to the ‘free’ musical festival and family fun day on Fordham Heath, Eight Ash Green.  This year the festivities start at 7.00pm on Friday 15th July 2016 with an evening of live music from exciting local bands.  There will be a barbecue and a bar supplied courtesy of Matt and his very hard working team from the Cricketers. Bring chairs and relax in the evening sunshine with good music, company, food and drink.

On Saturday 16th July starting at 1.00pm there will be the Music and Family Fun day, providing something for everyone. By popular demand the acoustics line up has been extended, as has the main stage. Side stalls, main arena events, rides, side stalls, barbecue, tea tent, and a bar will make the afternoon fly by.  The main prize for the raffle this year is to be confirmed.  There will be a bonny baby competition and the usual dog show which includes two new categories of the dog with the waggiest tail and the dog that look most like their owner.  The music continues to about 11.00pm and will be completed by a fantastic firework display by Dynamic fireworks and sponsored by Matt at The Cricketers.

Without you we would be unable to continue to stage this popular village event so please come along and support us.

I would also like to make a plea to anyone who feel that they can donate any books or old crockery for various stalls, or if you can give us some of your precious time on Thursday 14th July to put up marquees or actually to help out on either the Friday night or Saturday or perhaps even both. We also need help to clear away on Sunday morning on 17th July. You will be very welcome and your support will be greatly appreciated.

We look forward to seeing you at the 2016 Music Festival and Fun day for a fantastic community event.
